I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia (#16709), a Registered Psychologist in Alberta (#5049), and I have applied for registration with the College of Psychologists of BC. I recently moved to the City of Cranbrook from Calgary, where I was working at Journey Counselling and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
My training and interests have an integrative and interdisciplinary approach, with a foundation in neuroscience, attachment theory, and emotion-oriented therapies, as well as mindfulness techniques for emotional regulation. I am an EMDR trained therapist, and have also completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
My educational background includes an MA in Counselling Psychology from Providence Theological Seminary, an MA in Theology and History from the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts from Ambrose University. In addition, I completed a practicum at Karunia Counselling Services in Leduc, Alberta, provided training to lay counsellors and psychologists in Rwanda, taught English in South Korea, and served as an adjunct professor at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
For fun, I like to spend my time with my wife, dog, friends and family, playing music and adventuring in the mountains.
